WASHINGTON, April 20 (Reuters) – U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen explained to her counterpart from Indonesia that there will be no “business-as-standard” for Russia in the worldwide economy provided its invasion of Ukraine, the Treasury Division claimed in a statement on Wednesday.
Yellen told Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati throughout a meeting on Tuesday that the United States will carry on to operate with Indonesia, which at present prospects the Group of 20 significant economies, to advance G20 business.
“Secretary Yellen firmly condemned Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, and emphasised there will be no business-as-standard for Russia in the worldwide financial state,” Treasury reported. “Secretary Yellen emphasized that the United States will continue to function in solidarity with Indonesia to progress the critical business enterprise of the G20, which includes addressing the damaging impacts of Russia’s invasion on the international financial state.”
