Cyber Monday 2020 is coming to an end, but you can still score deals on laptops at Best Buy, Microsoft, Amazon, and many other retailers — whether you’re looking for a top-of-the-line touchscreen laptop or something more budget-friendly
Some of our top picks, like the Dell XPS 13, are available at a discount as part of this year’s deals. You’ll even find deals on Apple computers, which don’t usually go on sale. If you just need an affordable basic machine, there are deals on Chromebooks, too.
When shopping for a laptop, it’s important to consider what you intend to use it for. If you’re looking for a laptop primarily for entertainment and working from home, you might consider one with a larger 15-inch or 16-inch screen, for example. But, if portability is a big priority, check out a more compact 13-inch model.
You’ll also want to make sure you have enough processing power and memory to handle the tasks you need it for. Laptops with at least 8 GB of RAM are usually good enough for most people, but if you’re a video editor, professional photographer, or software engineer, you may need more than that.

The Dell XPS 13 has long been one of our favorite laptops thanks to its excellent balance of performance and portability. It’s more affordable this
since Dell is knocking $250 off the version with a 10th-gen Intel Core i7 processor, 512GB of storage, and 8GB of RAM. It’s an excellent deal on a laptop we’d usually recommend at normal price.
Laptops with super-large 17-inch screens can be hard to come by, especially at a discount. But the Dell Inspiron 17.3 offers a giant touchscreen, flexible design, and top-notch specs like an Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM for just a little over $1,000. It’s a worthwhile bargain for anyone in need of a larger-sized laptop, especially while working from home.
Laptops in the $600 price range usually ask you to make major compromises, but the Lenovo Ideapad S340 seems like a great value for the price. For about $600, you get 12GB of RAM, which should ensure it doesn’t get overwhelmed when handling heavier workloads, 512GB of storage, and a touch screen display. It’s a great deal for those looking for a laptop for casual work and web browsing.
For the same price as an iPad Mini this Cyber Monday, you can get a full-blown Intel Core i3 laptop with a flexible design that enables it to serve as a laptop and tablet, a roomy 14-inch display, and 8GB of memory. Those specs should make this laptop more than capable of serving as a casual work and entertainment device.
Finding a laptop with a recent Intel Core i7 processor, 12GB of RAM, and a 2-in-1 design with a touch screen for under $1,000 is rare, making this a great Cyber Monday find. That amount of processing power and RAM should make this laptop well-equipped to handle heavier than usual workloads. But since it has integrated graphics, this may not be the rig of choice for gamers and is better-suited for productivity.
Apple’s biggest MacBook is a great choice for those who want the portability of a laptop but a larger display that more closely simulates the desktop experience. The 16-inch MacBook Pro comes with Apple’s Magic Keyboard and a spacious, sharp screen, but it also provides top-notch audio with its six-speaker sound system. The deal price may bring this laptop down into a more acceptable price range for more shoppers. This deal is still active on Amazon, but the item won’t be back in stock until mid December.
