The governor of St. Petersburg verified that another Russian basic has been killed amid the invasion of Ukraine, honoring him in a ceremony on Saturday, Russian media reported.
The deputy commander of the 8th Military, Maj. Gen. Vladimir Petrovich Frolov, died when preventing towards Ukraine, Russian information retailers claimed, citing St. Petersburg’s administration’s press assistance.
“Today we say goodbye to a serious hero. Vladimir Petrovich Frolov died a heroic dying in battle with Ukrainian nationalists,” Governor Alexander Beglov said, Russian state news company Tass noted, citing the push provider.
“He sacrificed his everyday living so that young children, ladies and the aged in the Donbas would no more time hear bomb explosions. To prevent ready for loss of life and leaving residence , to say goodbye as if it were the last time.”
The governor referred to as Frolov a “true patriot” and “brave,” introducing he “fulfilled his army and human duty,” in accordance to St. Petersburg on the web newspaper Fontanka.
